The International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT, pronounced I Square IT),[अंतरराष्ट्रीय सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, पुणे] is an IIIT recognized by the government of India situated at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, in Pune, India. The institute is the creation of Shri P. P. Chhabria, industrialist and philanthropist and Padmashree Vijay P. Bhatkar, a scientist and IT leader of India who is credited with the creation of India's PARAM series of supercomputers and a recipient of Maharashtra's highest recognition ‘Maharashtra Bhushan’. The institute was dedicated to National by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam former President of India, on 28 May 2003., IGNOU and I2IT has set up a Centre of Excellence that will offer two year full-time M. Tech, MS, MBA and Ph.D. degree programs in Information Technology, Management, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Robotics and Satellite Communications at the I2IT campus in Pune. I2IT also offers the MTech and MBA programs of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, in areas like Computational Fluid Dynamics, Oil and Gas Engineering, and Oil and Gas Management.
