Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering also known as LTCOE or LT, established in 1994, is one of the premier engineering colleges in Navi Mumbai affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is recognized by the government of Maharashtra. Over the years the college has gained recognition in the engineering fields by producing merit rankers each year. The institute has been graded "A" by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra State. It is recognised by the AICTE and has received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The College is named after the Indian freedom fighter and social reformer, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who was reverently addressed as Lokmanya (meaning "Beloved of the people" or "Revered by the world") Tilak.Mahatma Gandhi called Tilak "The Maker of Modern India".
