Montgomery County Community College

Montgomery County Community College, also known as MCCC, Montco, or MC3, is a 2-year community college offering associate degrees, technical certificates and non-credit courses to the general public. MCCC is accredited by the Commission of Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. The college was founded in 1964 and offered classes from its campus in Conshohocken. In 1972, the school relocated and its Central Campus opened in nearby Blue Bell (Whitpain Township) where it remains today. There is a also a West Campus in Pottstown which opened in 1996. Off-site locations include Lansdale and Willow Grove Naval Air Station in Horsham. The Pottstown campus includes the North Hall, a 50,000-square-foot (4,600 m) facility with classrooms, a computer lab and an art gallery. The building was formerly a knitting mill, brewery, and shoe polish factory until its renovation in 2006. It is connected to the South Hall by an underpass that had been filled in since the early 1920s.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

  • March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.

  • Mayank is an inventor and zebra-enthusiast. He developed Stripespotter, a biological barcode scanner for zebras, and is a part of the team behind Facebook insights. By way of India to Oman to the US, Mayank can be found behind the wheel of a red Porsche dreaming up his next big idea.
