Mount Carmel College Bangalore

Mount Carmel College, Bangalore is a women's liberal arts college established on 7 July 1948. It is located in Vasanth Nagar of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This college has courses for undergraduates as well as for postgraduates. This college is 'A+' accredited by NAAC and also, was awarded Five Stars by NAAC. This college also gained a place in the Best colleges of India in the Arts, Commerce and Science stream. The college is run by the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of Sr. Teresa of St. Rose of Lima (b. 1859). It is affiliated with Bangalore University, before that, it was affiliated with Mysore University. The college is a member of the NCC and the NSS services. The college has a committed group of volunteers who work with school children in the rural areas. The Centre of Extended Education organizes, monitors and evaluates all the credit courses. The Centre offers a wide variety of credit course across multiple disciplines to make learning a rich and complete experience. The college is a member of 29 clubs and associations that conduct several events and competitions across the year.
