Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College

Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College is a state secondary school with technology college status in the town of Bedworth, Warwickshire, England. With approximately 1,700 boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18, it is one of the largest schools in Warwickshire. It is named after Nicholas Chamberlaine (1632–1715) who was a local benefactor and a prominent figure in the history of Bedworth. The school officially opened in 1953. The Headteacher was Mr. Skinner. At that time it was a secondary modern school. It prides itself on consistently achieving excellence. The school motto is Excellence Opens All Doors. The school runs Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 courses. The headteacher of the school is Mr Smallman. In 2005 the school's former librarian, Anne Robinson, was awarded the School Librarian of the Year Award by the School Library Association. Former Libertines and current Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty attended the school from 1992 to 1997. The author of speculative fiction Graham Joyce also attended Nicholas Chamberlaine School in the late 1960's. The former Coventry City, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday player Andy Blair (footballer) went to the school in the 1970's.

  • Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.
