The Oldham College, is a government funded further education college =in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. In 2008 the college had over 8,000 students, making it the largest centre of further education in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham. It is a Centre of Vocational Excellence for financial services. It offers a range of vocational courses. Kath Thomas became the school's principal in February 2004. In February 2008, Ofsted published an inspection report describing the school as "outstanding". Later the same year, The Oldham College was awarded Beacon Status. The government announced in April 2008 that The Oldham School would receive funding to rebuild, however due to budget cuts in mid-2009 it was one of 160 schools to have their funding stopped. The college offers a wide range of courses aimed at 16–19 year olds, adults and businesses through the colleges dedicated Business training centre Pennine House in Oldham town centre.
