Maria Ly is quite literally a Rock Star. You’ll often find her hanging off a 5.13a grade rock climbing route, she is the rock star co-founder of Skimble (which is incubated by Rock Health), and you can find her rock formation photography featured in Outside Magazine.

PATTS College of Aeronautics
PATTS College of Aeronautics, also known as Philippine Air Transport & Training Services, is an aeronautical school on Lombos Ave., San Isidro, Paranaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Its mission is to provide quality, affordable aeronautical education for Filipinos and to help its graduates in the labor market. It was founded by Atty. Ambrosio R. Valdez Sr., for whom the school's gymnasium hall was named. It was founded in 1969, then known as the Philippine Air Transport and Training Services a joint venture of Filipino and American pioneers in aviation. The primary aim was to establish a manufacturing and assembly plant for training aircraft. The secondary aim was to put up an aeronautical school to meet the needs of the air transportation industry. The unfavorable investment climate then prevailing constrained the founders to drop the first objective and proceed to the second which is to organize and operate an aeronautical school. Thus the PATS (Philippine Aviation & Training Services) School of Aeronautics was born. The school started with the One-Year Airframe Mechanic, Two-Year Airframe Mechanic, One-Year Power Plant Mechanic and the Two-Year Power Plant Mechanic courses.

March 13, 1988 was the day we moved to America. Although it wasn't my first time in the country, that date was the beginning of my journey through the American school system. Those eleven years filled me with a lifetime of great memories.
