Sinhgad College of Engineering is one of the premier technical education institute located in the city of Pune.The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). It is located at Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune, India. The college takes its name from the nearby Maratha fort. It has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and recognized by the AICTE. The institute has also been awarded an "A" Grade by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, Mumbai. 65% of students are admitted on the basis of marks scored on the Maharashtra Engineering Entrance Test (CET) and 15% of the students from outside Maharashtra state are admitted through the All-India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). The remaining 20% of students are admitted through management quota. The training and placement cell on the campus is in charge of preparing students in the third (and sometimes fourth) year to appear for campus interviews.
